The letter

I knew, knew, all day that the letter would be waiting for me when I came home tonight. And there it was, tucked between the cable bill and my new Netflix DVD.

When I opened it up, I could barely focus enough to read what it said.

The Office of Medical Services is pleased to inform you that you have been medically qualified for service [...]. You will now move to the next step in the process, the Office of Placement.

YAY!!!!!!!

Now I wait :)

Medical update

I got this cryptic update on my toolkit Friday morning:
From my research, I've found that this message generally means that you've been cleared fully or have received a deferral. A deferral means that your file is put on "hold" for a certain amount of time and then they re-evaluate it after that time has past. It's fairly common for applicants to get deferrals, so if it's that I'm not concerned.

I've only read of two people who've gotten rejected and their toolkit message was different.

I'll know more when the letter comes in the mail. I'll keep you updated :)

After dental clearance comes...

Acknowledgment that the Peace Corps has received all my medical forms (including the dental information they already cleared...)





I think the medical packet goes to the dental desk first...why else would I get dental clearance before the report receipt of my forms?

I had this feeling today...

that I'd get an "Application Status Update" email today...and I did!





Woo hoo! That also means they got my medical packet and I might hear something soon on that end.

Medical Packet

I mailed my medical packet today! All 5,000,000,000 pages! *well...not exactly that many...* Actually 36 pages plus 2 dental x-rays.

weeee!

Now comes the waiting. Some people get cleared in two weeks, others have to wait several months. I'm hoping I'm closer to the two weeks.

I never thought I'd be excited about...

...Getting TONS of medical tests done. But I am :)


Medical packet came today!

I'll call Monday and start making appointments!

Apparently PC is reviewing the medical forms that I have not yet received, let alone sent back to them!
