Toolkit update :)

My new front page:

*Application status update! For once an exclamation point is a good thing:

Your toolkit won't tell you what you're assignment is until you call to accept. Then it'll update with all sorts of cool and exciting things:

Notice how it says "Invitee Toolkit" now? Pretty awesome :)

* Apparently they do a final legal clearance between the time you accept your invitation and when you arrive at staging. That's why my "Legal" section doesn't say "Complete" and why it says they've completed my "initial legal review"

I am SO jealous right now. You have no idea how much!

Thanks! It's been a long and often frustrating process, but totally worth it :)

I hope your interview goes well!

Have you checked out the yahoo group? (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/peacecorps2/) and the facebook group (Future Peace Corps Volunteers)?

They're really helpful :)

I'm a member of both, and love them!

Right now, I'm just wanting to GET an interview. My recruiter won't set one up until my packet is fully complete, and two of the people doing recommendations for me are being just about as slow as they possibly can be (they've had the links for 3 weeks). I've sent everything else to the recruiter (fingerprints, background check form, skills addenda, etc.), but I'm going to have to pry those recommendations from them, I think.

I had the same problem with one of my recommendations.

She finally finished it, but it took like 3 weeks for her to finish it too.

Let them know that you absolutely NEED their recommendation letter before you can move onto the next process!

I've sent them both reminders, and went to talk to one yesterday and emailed the other, so I'm hoping it will be done in the next day or so. If not, I guess I'll have to try and come up with another person to do one.

Expect that after you get there things will change. That's the PC way. Ask anyone. Hasse
